A while back, I'd asked if Sensiblecat wouldn't mind me drawing something from the Doctor's Diary series. She agreed and I went on my merry way.
And then I started reading "The Time Traveller's Wife," which plays an important role in chapter 2... and I think my heart broke all over again. So... I'm saying that this is inspired by the first two "Doctor's Diary" chapters. It's a bit different from my usual fare, in that it's... not exactly realism, not exactly cartoony, and definitely not what I had expected to draw when I sat down this week. Funny, the things your hands do. Writing in the background are quotes from "The Time Traveller's Wife" and are also quoted in chapter 2 of Sensiblecat's "The Doctor's Diary." |
