Taking a break from the Disheveled for a bit, switching gears...

I tend to do art for scenes that I feel a strong connection to.
Aibhinn's stories are wonderful tapestries of character and emotion that I've discovered very few people are able to do accurately. Especially for the Doctor, whose emotions so rarely come to the surface, which makes his particular pain even more heartbreaking.

In her story, Never Alone, the TARDIS helps Rose understand what happened in the Time War, and encourages her to go to him in his time of grieving. The anguish the Doctor finally exposes leads to a tender moment... which in turn leads to one of the more emotionally charged love scenes I've read.

When I asked Aibhinn if she had any suggestions for some art, she gave me a list *yay!* and one prompt was "the Doctor with two tears running down his cheeks and his heart in his eyes, Rose with a hand on his shoulder looking sympathetically at him."

So I went and reread Never Alone (along with about 5 more of her one-off fics, heh) and decided to do a quick snapshot... right in between the moment Rose approaches the Doctor and the moment he practically collapses against her.
